Helping Communities Protect Water Resources Workshop

Learn how you can help your community protect water resources by attending a Citizen Planner afternoon workshop!

A series of regional workshops are being held throughout March.  A workshop will be held in Kalamazoo on March 4, 2008 - MTECH at KVCC, 7107 Elm Valley Drive, Kalamazoo, from 12:00 -5:00 pm.

To find out more and register, visit the Citizen Planner website at http://www.citizenplanner.msu.edu/water08.html or click here for a brochure.

Where and how communities grow directly and indirectly affects water quality. Conventional postwar development patterns have had adverse effects on Michigan’s water resources. The health of our water resources today depends on sound management of where growth occurs. It is equally important to discuss how development should take place at the site level to reduce potential negative effects of development.

Participants of the Master Citizen Planner Program (MCP) will receive .4 CEUs for this workshop. The cost to attend the regional workshop is $95
