River Raisin Watershed Managment Plan A Collaborative Effort

The River Raisin Watershed  Council led the charge for the creation of a watershed management plan for the River Raisin watershed basin but it was through the collaborative efforts of  many that  got the job done!

The River Raisin Watershed Council would like to extend our profound gratitude to Scott Dierks and JFNew for their herculean efforts in facilitating and writing the plan.  We would also like to thank Dr. David Allan and the University of Michigan School of Natural Resources and Environment for their superb work and professionalism.   We would like to recognize the Lenawee Conservation District for their expertise, dedication and hard work  as well the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality for their tireless efforts and support, in particular plan managers, Janna Sebald and Thad Cleary, whose patience, kindness, professionalism and integrity was deeply appreciated.

In addition to the partners mentioned above we would like to thank the following for the invaluable contributions they made to the plan:  William Bennett,    Katherine Ridolfi, Leslie Ramirez, Adrian College, Heidelberg College, City of Adrian,  Lenawee County,  Lenawee County Drain Commission, Monroe County Drain Commission,    Raisin Valley Land Trust,     Stantec, Washtenaw County, The Nature Conservancy,  Peter Vincent, Chad Kotke,  Dave Fongers, Robert Zbiciak, Adrian Dominican Sisters,  Tecumseh Library and all of the countless others whose efforts, involvement  and  input helped to shape the plan.  Thank you all very much for your contributions!
